The Mini Downhill series, put on by Naked Racing in the Forest of Dean, is, I think, a great work around against some of the problems faced in the UK for riding. Winter and poor weather can leave you with such narrow windows of daylight you can barely fit a full race in on a single day that allows all the riders to have an equal run. The course is barely a minute long, riders get through quickly, there's a cafe, hoses and toilets and the walk to the top isn't a killer. What's not to like?
These shots are from the second race of the series in January 2012.
