Last weekend, the glorious four-day-Easter-break, the girl and me headed over to Tyntesfield, a National Trust property just outside of Bristol. We found the greenhouses and, among the scents of tulips, pretended it was Spring – the thermometer read 20 degrees. Then we broke our clean and lean diet and gorged on cream teas with homemade scones and redcurrant jam and followed it up with a lemon cake (the latter was more ‘me’ than ‘we’). The grounds are nice but they’re no cake. Also the cake was so nice I didn’t take a picture.
