He works for a wide variety of clients photographing people and studio commissions across the UK and Europe
The photographer's brief should contain the basic information such as the who, what, where, when and how. Addresses, contact information and names of all the commissioning and attending parties should be included. The commissioning editor should provide as much detail as possible in regards to the shoot - shots required, style, mood, lighting etc. Giving an idea of the final use is equally as important. If the images are running in print for example you have to be aware of page gutters, bleed and page furniture. If the images are for online is the requirement for more landscape than portrait shots? The brief should also detail a deadline for initial and final edits, file formatting and post production requirements. It should also state whether permits and model releases are needed and who is responsible for arranging them.
